DIGISTAR have established a Broadcast Division

To further complement and strengthen the company’s role as a one-stop system integrator, DIGISTAR have established a Broadcast Division. The Division is headed by Mr. Nik Ahmad Tadjuddin, a veteran with more than 20 years of experiences in the Broadcast Industry.

Assisted by a pool of young and dynamics engineers and implementation department, DIGISTAR is confident the Broadcast Division will contribute significantly to the growth of the company. As a testimony of the strength and growth of the Division was its success in securing the prestigious RTM News Automation project worth some RM22 million (see link to newspaper ad). The installation, the biggest in the region in terms of project size involves complete automated digitized newsroom systems that allow streamlining, acquisition, digitization, editing and play-out of RTM news operations nationwide.

The increased and popular adoption of new and digital media with greater earning powers over the years has seen Malaysians demanding higher quality programming from the current broadcast stations. Significant growth has also been seen in the ownership of televisions as well as Broadcast stations with the country’s 2nd pay-per view station poised to commence operations in December 2004.

This division is expected to enhance the company’s ability to serve our clients better as well as allow us to play an extended role in the Broadcast industry. This is also in line with our Malaysian government’s call for technology transfer and the creation of a knowledge economy utilizing Malaysian expertise. Currently, a substantial portion of broadcast engineering work is undertaken by 3rd party contractors from foreign countries.

DIGISTAR will provide total engineering solutions from concept and design to after sales service support. With our newly completed ‘Presentation Room’ with the latest state of the art equipment, we will be able to fulfill the specialized needs and diverse requirements of our clients.

DIGISTAR will continue to strive for excellence and to offer superior performance that will contribute to our nation’s development.
