Digistar was established in 22 February, 1982 as a systems house, specialising in the design and installation of communications systems. To-day, its corporate dimension has expanded and currently offers expertise in Digital Broadcast, Information Technology, Multi-media, Media Retrieval, Interactive Media Management system, tele-conferencing, Backbone/Structure cabling, Hospital Communication and Telecommunication system, as well as systems engineering. To enhance its overall capabilities in these areas and technology progress, Digistar has entered distribution/licence agreements with several international reputable hardware and software manufacturers. |

Digistar’s mission is to provide the proven technology available in the market and satisfactory after sales services. In addition, remaining as a systems house, Digistar plays the role of a distribution centre for all kinds of specialized services and products throughout Malaysia and other Asian countries. To enhance and handle the high requirement of direct services, Digistar has successfully registered with the relevant Malaysia government authorities as the Malaysia government recognized supplier and specialist SI. |

In 2001 the Management decided to create a Broadcasting division to enhance the capabilities of the company, and enable it to play a wider role in Malaysia’s development. The division is headed by En. Nik Ahmad Tadjuddin Nik Mustapha, who has more than 20 years of experience in the Broadcast industry. He is assisted by a pool of young and dynamic engineers from the project and implementation department which has more than 30 staff. As such, the Company’s overall performance has been enhanced to serve our clients better as well as to be able to play an extended role in the Broadcast industry. This is in line with our Malaysian government’s call for technology transfer and the creation of a knowledge economy utilizing Malaysian Expertise. |
